Packed with history and tradition, which is evident from the moment you set foot in the towns old centre point Cow Square, the town is conveniently walkable, perfect for those looking to explore and discover the rich history of the town. Start at the heart of Market Square in order to take in the town’s various landmarks and ancient buildings, before
making your way over to the unique octagonal tower church of St Michael. From here it’s a stones throw away to the famous Somerton Cow Square, with its impressive Edwardian water fountains from the late 17th century. Here you’ll find historic stone buildings, cobbled market spaces and outdoor café seating facing out into the centre of this charming town.
