Long Itchington
Harbury
This delightful, almost archetypal - with village pond and village green - Warwickshire village is situated just over six miles east of Leamington Spa, 11 miles south of Coventry and just two miles to the north of the market town of Southam, just off the A423 Banbury to Coventry Road.
With homes spanning the reigns of both the first and the current Queen Elizabeth there is a property style and type to suit pretty much every preference, with two churches, pre- school, primary school, community centre, half a dozen pubs,
a newsagent and a Co-Operative store serving a population of just over 2,000, with the village enjoying its own cricket club, tennis courts and senior/junior football teams.
With a population of approximately 2,500, Harbury is situated about five miles south-east of Leamington Spa and three miles south-west of Southam.
The village is a thriving and busy community which boasts a Church of England Primary School, doctor’s surgery, three public houses, a Post Office, two general stores, a chemist and a hairdresser. A number of other successful businesses operate within the centre of the village or on the small industrial estate on the site of the former water tower.
There is a well used village hall, an active church community, a community-run library and café, and a large number of vibrant and successful community groups. The rugby football club enjoys its own ground and clubhouse, which it shares with the village cricket club.
Its many facilities and amenities combine with its attractive mix and wide choice of traditional and contemporary properties, to make it one of the most popular (and largest) of South Warwickshire’s villages.
