Guiding you through property | dmkw.co.uk 7LOCAL NEIGHBOURHOODHillingdon itself is the second greenest borough in London, boasting over 200 green spaces, many of which are found in UB10. One of our favourites is Court Park, our go-to place for our runs. Outdoor enthusiasts will also love Denham Country Park, Black Park with its stunning lake, and Uxbridge Common.A major factor in our decision to move here was its unbeatable accessibility. The M40, M25, and M4 make travel to Oxford, the Midlands, Reading, and beyond incredibly convenient. And nearby lovely towns such as Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross are just 10-15 minutes away. For those commuting into Central London, the A40 or the Metropolitan Line from Hillingdon or Ickenham stations are excellent options. And for frequent flyers, Heathrow Airport is just 15 minutes away. The variety of properties in UB10 caters to all kinds of demographics. The Oak Farm Estate is ideal for young families, while upscale streets like The Drive, The Avenue and Warren Road feature a suite of stunning exclusive homes. In between, you%u2019ll find bungalows and family houses with generous gardens, a big reason why many people look to call North Hillingdon or Ickenham home.History buffs will appreciate the Battle of Britain Bunker, a must-visit attraction with an incredible legacy. A visit there will fascinate you I%u2019m sure and you can even hire it out for family functions as I have done previously. Another highlight is Ickenham High Street, with its village charm, locally run cafes (which we regularly frequent!), restaurants, and a nearby thriving cricket club. We have hosted charity quiz nights at the historic Coach and Horses, and there are many other eateries that continue to be local faves!Families also flock to Hillingdon Leisure Centre, which offers a truly impressive range of activities from fitness classes, a swimming pool and an athletics track. And the many attractions adjacent to UB10 make it an unbeatable combination for families too. For shopping and leisure, Uxbridge offers two large malls: The Chimes and The Pavilions, packed with shops, restaurants, and cafes. And for a unique outing, Ruislip Lido, a man-made beach is a surprising gem. It%u2019s not quite the French Riviera, but it%u2019s perfect for a sunny day close to home.Overall, for me, UB10 really does offer the perfect mix of nature, convenience, and community spirit. Living in the heart of it continues to be an absolute pleasure for my wife and I and I%u2019d love to share more with you about what we know and love about the area. Discovering UB10:Exploring the AreaSpanning primarily North Hillingdon and Ickenham, UB10 is a very pleasant and green neighbourhood that my wife and I moved to after careful research. We loved it so much. we even persuaded other members of our family to move here too.Here%u2019s a few pointers as to what makes this area so special:
