Tollesbury is situated on the banks of the River Blackwater close to Maldon. Tollesbury is a waterside haven for yachting and boating enthusiasts, with its very own Marina. There are local shops, bakers, hairdressers, convenience store, pharmacy and doctors surgery. There is also a local pub and two churches.
Situated on the outskirts of Chelmsford is the village of Bicknacre with a population of around 4,500, set within the heart of the Essex country side and within neighbouring towns such as South Woodham Ferrers, Danbury, Maldon and Chelmsford.
The villages surrounding Bicknacre such as
Rettendon Common, Woodham Ferrers, Howe
Green, East, West and South Hanningfield all benefit from the close-by delightful reservoir and nature reserve with onsite facilities, including waterfront dining and a trout fishery. There are a number of equestrian facilities nearby too.
All the villages are within a few minutes drive of major roads such as the A12, A127 and A130.
Tiptree
Widely regarded as the largest village in Essex, with an extensive range of local amenities including two supermarkets, library, doctors, dentist and schools. Kelvedon is 3.8 miles with its station to London Liverpool Street.
Witham
